Warranty
90 days on labor. 365 days on parts. Genuine OEM parts.
The part we fitted and the labor we did are both covered from the date on the invoice. What is excluded is listed just as plainly.
The whole of it
Two periods, one invoice, no registration card. You do not sign up for anything and there is no plan to renew.

Covered, and not covered
Written plainly so there is no argument later. If something here reads badly for you, ask on the phone before you approve the quote.
Covered
- The part we fitted failing inside the parts period.
- The fault we repaired returning inside the labor period.
- A leak, a loose connection or a mis-set control that is down to our work.
- A sealed-system repair losing charge inside the labor period.
Not covered
- A different fault appearing later on the same appliance. That is a new job.
- An installation or supply fault we identified in writing and were not asked to correct.
- Corrosion from salt air on a coastal install, which is environmental and continuous.
- A control board killed by a fresh power event after the repair.
- Damage from a third party working on the appliance after us.
- Parts you supplied yourself.
Ours, not the manufacturer's
The cover on this page is our own commercial warranty on our own work. It does not extend, replace or interact with any warranty the manufacturer gives you.
The one credential that does come from outside this shop is federal, not commercial:
- EPA Section 608 Certification. Federal requirement to open a sealed refrigeration system and handle refrigerant. Held by our refrigeration techs.
- Independent shop. No manufacturer contract, no factory quota. We bill the customer, not a warranty administrator.
If your appliance is still inside a live factory warranty, use that first. We will say so on the phone rather than take a job you should not be paying for. See pricing and terms for what a paid visit costs, or the questions page for everything else.
Asked about the cover
$80 flat diagnostic, credited toward the repair. Written estimate before any work starts.
The same fault came back three weeks later. What do I pay?
Nothing. Inside the 90 day labor period, a return of the fault we repaired is our problem. There is no second diagnostic fee and no call-out charge on a warranty return.
A different part failed. Is that covered?
No. The warranty covers the repair we did, not the whole appliance. A new fault is a new job with a new diagnostic, and we will tell you honestly on the phone whether the two are likely to be connected.
Do you use aftermarket parts to keep the price down?
Genuine OEM parts. If a genuine part is discontinued we will say so, show you the options, and put in writing which of them is not an OEM part before you approve anything.
Is your warranty the same as the manufacturer warranty?
No, and it has nothing to do with it. Ironside Appliance Repair is an independent shop with no Viking contract. Our warranty is ours, backed by us, and covers our own work and the parts we supply.
My appliance is still inside its factory warranty. Should you touch it?
Probably not first. If the appliance is inside a live manufacturer warranty you should use that channel, because we will bill you and they will not. Call us anyway and we will tell you which it is.
How do I make a claim?
Call +1 (904) 659-6634 during business hours with the invoice in front of you. The invoice date, the part number and the fault description are all we need to book the return visit.
Claiming, or booking a new job
